BEING MYSELF- BEING A MEDICO

I have observed that non-medicos (ya those not studying medicine, got it right my dear friends) always find a medico's life very fascinating.... whenever I talk to my non-medico friends about our life, they find it very interesting!!

Firstly I would I like to state a very famous sentence among medicos- "medical field is like a public toilet, people standing out are eager to get in, and people in are dying to finish and come out!!"

After completing my first year i have realised.....

"BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND ALL THAT YOU ARE,
KNOW THAT THERE IS SOMETHING INSIDE YOU,
THAT IS GREATER THAN ANY OTHER OBSTACLE."

sometimes the questions are complicated but the answers are simple.

first year was an altogether a different experience as I had an exposure to the three subjects
ANATOMY- a subject where the dead teaches the living
PHYSIOLOGY- a subject where you can find out how a normal body functions
BIOCHEMISTRY- a subject which helps you to tackle unfavourable conditions in your normal body

At first I always thought that these three subjects are just to pass and the real medical starts from second year....
but I was wrong
When second year started off I believed it totally that-
"If you have a strong foundation, you can build and rebuild anything on it.
but if you have a weak foundation, you cant build anything on it."

“My first year at medical school has gone in a flash and yet I feel I have acquired so much knowledge"

My first year began on 16th september 2013.......
The first day called the orientation day or the WHITE CEREMONY DAY began. We were welcomed by our dean and introduced to the faculty staff. We expected they would send us home after the intro.
But as it is rightly said
"Dont wait for the perfect moment, just take the moment and make it perfect"

Being a medical student will involve working harder than you’ve ever worked in your life – but chances are, it’ll also involve having more fun than you’ve ever had before. There are plenty of off-putting myths about being a medical student, but in reality it’s enjoyable, interesting and highly rewarding, especially in light of what you’re working towards.

Don’t panic, medicine can be challenging but you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy being an undergraduate, an experience that many people say is the best time of their life. The level of work in the course is such that you will have time to make the most out of other activities at your college, such as sports, music and  that are on offer at your college. All that you need to do in order to manage these other activities is be efficient with the time you spend working; don’t spend a whole afternoon watching YouTube videos if you know you have a music rehearsal that evening. Medical college is about a lot more than simply gaining a degree, you will learn a lot about yourself and other people and hopefully build yourself into someone who is capable of being a good doctor.
